Ecological commitment

Ecological commitment

At the heart of our approach: reducing our environmental impact while providing a comfortable and environmentally friendly stay. We have begun our Green Key certification process, with the ambition of soon joining the ranks of hotels recognized for their environmental commitment.

Water & energy savings

Installation of flow reducers on taps and showers, and encouragement of changing linen on request, internal linen room

100% LED lighting throughout the hotel, with sensors in the corridors to avoid energy waste

Optimized heating/air conditioning control, with customer awareness of closing windows and responsible use of temperature.

Responsible purchasing & local food

Priority given to ecological, eco-labeled and local products for our breakfast, bar and shop.
Collaboration with organic and local producers to support short supply chains and guarantee healthy, quality products.

Awareness & partnerships

Staff are trained in eco-friendly actions, and information tools (displays, brochures, QR codes) are made available to customers to encourage active participation.
Choice of partners (laundry, service providers, craftsmen) committed to sustainable and social dynamics.

Future goals & certification

Regular monitoring of our consumption (water, energy) and internal audits.
Gradual transition to renewable energies.
Implementation of an annual action plan to achieve the Green Key label.

Waste management & zero plastic alternatives

Implementing selective sorting in common areas. Reducing the use of individual containers at breakfast service. Eliminating plastics for products on sale. Refillable soap/shampoo dispensers in all bathrooms—no more individual bottles. Filtered water in glass bottles at the bar and reception to reduce disposable plastic.

Why this approach?

By choosing to stay at the Hôtel du Parc, you’re supporting an environmentally-conscious project and helping to promote sustainable tourism in Thionville. It’s our way of combining comfort, authenticity, and responsibility—and of taking action, at our own level, for a more planet-friendly future.
